Description
This is the Woodland Scenics Cinders coarse ballast shaker. Cinders ballast represents ash and clinker, historically associated with industrial areas and former coalfields, and famously the standard practice of the North Eastern Railway, carried on into LNER days, in preference to granite.
This coarse grade shaker holds 945cm3 of material. This coarse grade suits larger scales such as O gauge, or gives the look of freshly relaid track, where the stone is still large and sharp-edged rather than worn smooth by traffic. Deluxe Materials Ballast Bond is the better choice over a standard glue here, spreading evenly and giving a stronger, longer-lasting bond once dry.
