Description
This is the Rapido Red Cross gunpowder van model. Some narrow gauge cargoes were considerably more hazardous than coal or stone, and this gunpowder van represents the specialist vehicles used to move explosives safely around quarries, mines and contractor’s sites, a genuine if unglamorous corner of narrow gauge traffic.
This example is finished in Black with Red Cross livery, No.59.
Metal wheels and NEM coupler pockets fitted with OO9 ‘Hook and Loop’ couplings mean this Rapido model runs happily alongside other manufacturers’ narrow gauge stock. Detail is captured both above and below the floor line, with a high-quality livery finish, all to 1:76 scale (OO9 gauge) and designed in the UK.
