Description
This 12 ton planked ventilated van was a mainstay of the LMS goods fleet, built on the company’s standard 10ft wheelbase underframe. Alongside everyday merchandise traffic, vans of this type were also drafted into military service, and this model recreates one such example finished in sombre army green with running number 47487.
The Bachmann Branchline tooling brings out fine plank engraving across the bodyshell along with further moulded detail, while the chassis features 3-hole disc metal wheelsets, separately fitted brakes and brake gear, and cosmetic coupling hooks at each end. A distinctive addition for anyone modelling wartime or military goods workings on an OO gauge layout.
