Model Railway Repairs
Our repair service starts from just £5 per model (plus the cost of any parts required). We can assess faults, carry out mechanical repairs, and help resolve running issues to keep your locomotives operating reliably on your layout. Many common problems can be fixed quickly in store.
Model Railway Servicing & Maintenance
Regular servicing can dramatically improve performance and extend the life of your models. From light lubrication and basic cleaning to full motor strip-downs, our servicing options start from £5. This is ideal for models that have slowed down, become noisy, or haven’t been run in some time.
DCC Fitting
We offer DCC decoder fitting for a wide range of locomotives, including many older models where space and motor type allow.
Basic DCC fitting for DCC-ready locomotives starts from £5 (excluding programming).
You can supply your own decoder or choose one from our in-store range.
For DCC sound installations, you will usually need to provide the sound decoder and speaker unless using Hornby TTS. If required, we can help you source a suitable chip and advise on installation options.
